The Settlement Agents Supervisory Board regulates the State's settlement industry. It is the independent statutory authority established under the Settlement Agents Act 1981 to regulate people who conduct settlement transactions.
The Board is the licensing and supervisory authority. It issues licences to people who are suitably qualified and experienced, and supervises industry compliance with the Act and the standards of conduct required under the Settlement Agents Code of Conduct 1982.
The goal of the Board is for the people of Western Australia to have confidence in the settlement industry.
